Australian Fisherman Faces Backlash After Posting Photos of Large Tiger Shark Trophy

A fisherman is facing criticism on social media after posting photos of a 320 kilogram tiger shark that he caught while fishing 30 nautical miles off Swansea in New South Wales, Australia.  The shark was caught and killed during the Laak Maquarie Game Fishing Club summer fishing competition on Sunday, January 12, 2014.

After posting photos of his catch on Facebook, he received numerous comments condemning his action. You can read some of the comments via this SMH article.

According to media reports the fisherman, who has only been identified as Ben, has asked to keep his identity private.
