Video: OCEARCH Continues to Unravel the Mysteries Surrounding Great White Sharks

Great white just offshore Cape Cod
CNN International has just completed a series centered on the efforts of Ocearch in tagging and then tracking great white sharks in the north Atlantic.

The first video shows the capture, tagging and release of Katharine who was tagged off Cape Cod, Massachusetts on 20 August 2013 during Ocearch's latest expedition.  Katharine was messured at 14'2" and weighed 2,300 lbs.

The second video discusses Ocearch's mission and what they are discovering from the current group of tagged sharks.  In short, Ocearch expedition leader Chris Fischer sums it up quite succinctly, "This project is about solving the annual movements of the great white shark around the north Atlantic -- it's a 450-million-year mystery and today everyone gets to watch it unfold in real time."
