Fish Worker Suffers Shark Bite in Israel

A man in his mid 20's was bitten by an unknown type of shark while working at an offshore fish farm approximately 7 kilometers off the Port of Ashdod.

The man was diving at the fish cage when he was bitten.  A colleague pulled him to safety and rushed him to shore.

The victim sustained serious injury to his lower arm area and reports state that he lost part of his hand. He is currently in moderate condition at the Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital.
